A Dublin Summer Farewell

Dear Beloved Emmanuel Church,

I wanted to write a quick thank you from Sarah, and the kids and me for your generous friendship, love and support for our time together this Summer. As you know I look forward to being with you all year long. Our time together this Summer was a beautiful, holy and restful time and I cannot thank you enough for it.

Our time together on Sundays was marked by warmth, hospitality and affection and I will miss the intimacy and relaxed nature of our worship and prayer. My thanks needs to be extended to Dr. Bob Englund and Seth Brenzel for the incredible music that enriched our worship so powerfully.

Thanks as always to Ted and Wendy Pearre and Bill and Martha Raymond for the care of the rectory and grounds and, by extension, us. Finally, thanks to Ellen Avery and Jack Sands for their careful leadership of the church.

None of us can know what the future holds, but trusting in God and with faith in the future, the family and I look forward to being with you again in the coming year.
