2021 Summer Stewardship ~ Two Weeks to Go!
The Managing Committee met last Sunday to review current expenditures to income, as well as set the 2022 budget, to be presented at this coming Sunday's Annual Meeting.
In the Treasurer's Report, Kathy Miner provided an overview of income from Sunday offerings and contributions from the Spring Stewardship Letter. There is encouraging news when comparing where we were at the same time last year. The offering goal is $5,000 and we need $639 to make budget. Contributions have come in from fewer donors, yet the trend shows that these people have increased their normal gift. The contribution goal is $23,248 and we need to clear another $8,173 by year's end. So that we end the year with an adequate balance to cover start-up activities, a goal of $10,000 would ensure that our investment funds would remain untouched.
Admittedly, the last two years have been a challenge in so many ways for each and every one of us. Lives have been turned upside down; rules for the safety and care of one another have been met with fear, confusion, disappointment and anger; our human connections have been strained; and we wonder if we will ever be free from the direct and indirect affects of the pandemic.
Yet...Emmanuel Church remains physically open and unfazed by the pandemic. All of us want it to remain a place where we come for inspiration, hearing the word of God, and to share in a common experience. Your contribution will make it possible to move forward with ease and confidence for whatever comes our way.
Gifts can be made either through our website, mailing to PO Box 30, Dublin, NH 03444, and/or as an offering when you are attending services for the next two weeks.
Thank you.
